Why is Calcium so important?

We all know that water is the most abundant substance in the human body, so we take great effort to make sure we get all the liquids we need. But, did you know what the most abundant mineral is in the human body?... Calcium.

When you think of it this way, it’s easy to see the importance of making sure that you get all the calcium that your body needs. Don’t look at Calcium as being just another nutrient that you may not need. Calcium is critical.

We all know that calcium plays a role in the maintenance of bones, and helps prevent bone loss. When we think of bone loss, we often think of osteoporosis, which is correct. However, there are so many other more reasons that calcium is important.
